The 2026 Minneapolis Boat Show
January 22-25, 2026
Minneapolis Convention Center – 1301 2nd Ave S, Minneapolis MN 55403-2710
The Minneapolis Boat Show is one of the best opportunities of the year to see what’s new, what’s changing, and what kind of boating experience you actually want in the year ahead.
At Hallberg Marine, we’ve walked hundreds of boat show floors. Our team has a collective 100+ years of experience selling, servicing, and boating with real Minnesotans. So whether you’re a seasoned shopper or a first-timer just testing the waters, we’ve put together a few things we think will help you get the most out of your visit.
First Things First: Come Play!
Yes, we’re there to help you buy a boat but we’re also there to help you fall in love with one.
The boat show is one of the only times you’ll get to:
- Climb aboard a bunch of different pontoons and actually sit in them, feel the seats, stand at the helm, and imagine your lake days in each layout.
- Touch the tech. Want to know what that new touchscreen system actually does? Ask our team – we’ll demo it right there.
- Tell fish stories. And hear ours. Boating is personal, and our team of real boaters loves to hear about your time on the water.
Compare apples to apples. Seeing so many models side by side helps you spot the real differences in style, comfort, and value.
What You Should Know About Pricing
Let’s clear something up: that big price on the boat at the show? It’s often not the final price.
Here’s why:
- Some dealers post base prices before adding freight, setup, or destination fees.
- Some boat show prices exclude trailers or accessories that are necessary to get you on the water.
- Some include manufacturer rebates you may or may not qualify for.
At Hallberg, we price boats with transparency. No bait-and-switch. No hidden add-ons. If you have questions, just ask. We’ll break it down clearly, so you know what you’re actually getting and actually paying.
Smart Questions to Ask While You Shop
Bring this cheat sheet with you:
- What’s included in this price? Trailer? Freight? Setup?
- Are there rebates from the manufacturer? What are the requirements?
- Will this price be honored if I order a boat later?
- Can I see pictures (or actual boats) of what I’d be getting?
- How much experience does the salesperson have selling boats? (And boating?)
- Bonus tip: Ask about “out the door” pricing. That’s the only way to truly compare across dealers.
Who’s Helping You Matters. Talk to the Right Folks.
Some dealerships bring in seasonal help or brand reps who are only at the show for a few days. That doesn’t mean they’re bad people, it just means they may not know the difference between a Yamaha rig and a Bennington layout.
Our team is different. The folks you talk to at the show? They’re Hallberg employees. Some have been shop foremen. Some are marine techs. All are boaters. They know what they’re talking about and they’ll be the ones helping you long after the boat show ends.
What Makes the Hallberg Booth Different
- We’re real Minnesota boaters – not just reps.
- We won’t upsell you into something you don’t need.
- We’ll give you the real numbers, no pressure.
- We’re ready to help – before, during, and after the show.
So come climb aboard. Ask the questions. Touch all the buttons. Take a seat and picture yourself out on the lake. And, have some fun!
Can’t wait for the boat show? Stop in to the showroom and talk with our team!
