About Us

Our History

Hallberg Family Foundation

The Hallberg Family Foundation was started in 2000 to support our local community. Some of the ways we have shown support are by contributing to scholarship funds, athletics, performing arts, youth church ministries, fire and police department needs, and many other community organizations. Our primary focus is contributing to organizations in and around Forest Lake and Wyoming.

Each year the Hallberg Family Foundation provides $40,000+ of scholarships to Forest Lake graduates through the Forest Lake Area Community Scholarship Foundation. Since its origin, the Hallberg Family Foundation has gifted over $400,000 in scholarships and over $1,600,000 in total donations to local organizations.

Notable organizations that the Foundation supports: Forest Lake Youth Performing Arts, Masquers Theatre, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Festival Theatre, Children’s Performing Arts, the Forest Lake School District, Lakes Center for Youth and Families, Family Pathways, Union Gospel Mission, American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Rotary Club of Forest Lake, Wyoming Fire Relief Association, the Forest Lake and Wyoming Police and Fire Departments, Gammelgarden, Refuge Netowrk, Alzheimers Research, Down Syndrome Research, as well as several churches and ministries in our area.

The research station plans on using the boat for studying big lakes.
